The Mexican Community in Sydney has the privilege to invite you to the mass in honour of OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE.

  • Date: Saturday the 10th of December 2011 at 7:30pm.
  • Location: St Therese Church Sutherland Road, Mascot.
  • The mass will be celebrated by Father Gesner Felix.
  • Victor Valdes will join the celebration.

La Comunidad Mexicana en Sydney tiene el agrado de invitarle a la misa que se celebrará en honor de la VIRGEN DE GUADALUPE.

  • Fecha: Sábado 10 de diciembre de 2011 a las 7:30pm.
  • Lugar: Iglesia de St Therese en Sutherland Road, Mascot.
  • La misa será oficiada por Padre Gesner Felix.

Celebrate the Mexican festival “Day of the dead” with a screening of the documentary “Somewhere near Tapachula“, plus traditional sweets, cakes and DVD copies on sale.

All proceeds to Misión México Children’s Refuge.

Mexican Fiesta

The Mexican Dance Group of Australia is organising a fiesta full of fun for the whole family. Everyone is welcome!

  • Where: Marrickville Youth Centre, Yabsley Ave. Jarvie Park, Marrickville, Australia
  • Time: 3pm to 8pm
  • Cost: $10 Adults, $5 Children
  • Entertainment:
    • Music by Christian Guerrero
    • The Mexican Dance Group of Australia
    • Piñata at 5pm

All profits will be shared between Mission Mexico and the purchase of new costumes for the Mexican Dance Group of Australia.

The Sydney Latin American Film Festival

The Sydney Latin American Film Festival has changed gear this year organizing  a series of special events.

Latin American Cinema & Song kicks off on Saturday 3rd September with Cine en Construcción (part of the San Sebastian International Film Festival) at the Cervantes Institute with weekly screenings of independent Latin American films throughout the month.

After opening night, Cine en Construcción will continue weekly screenings every Wednesday at 6:30pm, starting 7th September with Entre la Noche y el Día (Between Night and Day) from Mexico, looking at Francisco, an autistic man trying to find a home in the wilderness.

We invite you to come along to the Cervantes Insitute, support mexican film makers and start the mexican Independence celebration with a cinema night.
